Consider the Global Prayer Digest!

Here is a sample page from the Global Prayer Digest.

As you pray for mission efforts around the world, we believe you should strongly consider interceding for unreached peoples like the Fulbe of Cameroon.

The Global Prayer Digest is produced to assist you and your church in praying daily for those currently beyond the reach of the gospel.

Pray for a Church among the 700,000 Fulbe (Fulani) of the Cameroon by the year 2000.

The Baptist General Conference, the North American Baptists and RBMU International have each adopted this people for imminent work.

Plead with God for Unreached Peoples.
The Fulbe cattle herder examined the dead cow, looked up at his teenaged son and said, "She's dead. That's the third one who has died of disease this month. Those Ako Fulbe must have put a curse on my cattle!" "You don't like the Akos do you?" asked the son. "They are a menace to the earth!" exclaimed the father, standing up abruptly. "Son, I'll tell you right now, I'd even rather have you marry outside our tribe than to marry an Ako!"

Such a statement would not come as a shock to any of the 700,000 Fulbe of the Cameroon who are old enough to know the feelings of their people. All members of any three groupings of Fulbe ostracize the Ako subgroup because of their use of black magic and their lack of orthodox adherence to Islam. Fulbe groups are also jealous of the Ako because they live in a stable homeland with plenty of rainfall near Lake Nyos, Cameroon. All other Fulbe groups must migrate to find enough water and grazing land for their cattle.

Although there is a total of 12,000,000 Fulbe throughout Cameroon and Nigeria, there are only ten known Christians among them. Very little has been done to evangelize them, and they have always been resistant to the Gospel.

But there is good news. The Fulbe Bible has recently been translated, making God's word available to the 30 people groups who speak Fulbe as their trade language. The Baptist General Conference, the North American Baptists and RBMU International have each adopted this people for imminent work. It is possible to get involved with their work by adopting the Fulbe through one of these three agencies. Father, use these three agencies to establish a strong church among the Fulbe of the Cameroon.--KC

Pursue God's heart for all nations.

"For all the earth is the Lord's and He has set the world in order. . . He judges throughout the earth. . ." (1 Samuel 2:8,10). Hannah's song was her celebration of God's answer to her prayer. She acknowledged that God humbles the proud and exalts the humble, often reversing the fortunes of men and women in demonstration of His sovereignty. She affirmed that God cares for the "little people" of the earth who are often scorned by the mighty. And Hannah rejoiced that the scope of God's power and care is nothing less than the ends of the earth. Savior, we praise You for Your tender concern for bypassed and unreached peoples. Make Your love our own.
