The GLASS (Greater Los Angeles Sunday School) Convention from October 31 - November 2 in Pasadena was great! Nearly 200 exhibitors came from all over the country, trying to attract the 6500 to 7000 people. The Mary Rice Hopkins Concert on Halloween night attracted 100's of children along with their parents. We had 3 very busy days of selling many children's Missions books, counseling many people, passing out free brochures, answering questions, managing a "drawing," and playing continuous videos. We hoped and prayed about spreading a Missions vision, as well as a vision of the unreached peoples.

"I Don't Want To Wait Until I'm Grown Up" by Barbara Campbell, is the new EXCELLENT resource/teaching manual published by ACMC. This Children's Mission Education Curriculum Development Guide is a MUST. Based on years of experience in the Wheaton Bible Church, it has specific age-graded chapters, with such specifics as interviewing missionaries, library/story hour, designing the curriculum, why, what, and how to plan, and much more. "God's Word For Us and Others", a packet focused on Bible Translation by Lutheran Bible Translators includes coloring book, project information sheet, patterns activity, information sheets, and graded plans for five lessons. Also available are two children's slide/cassette or video stories: "Let's Go" (13 min.) and "God With Us" (17min.), both take you on a tour of the village in Cameroon, Africa where the Weber family does translation work.
