Dear Friends,

This issue of Mission Frontiers throbs with the new, exciting pulse of a prayer emphasis which is now sweeping the country.

We thank God and we thank David Bryant (along with others) for a brand new element that has been added, "Concerts of Prayer" or concentrated prayer gatherings.

Never before has a National Day of Prayer been planned emphasizing not only prayer for our nation, but also for frontier missions outreach. See the many articles on prayer in this issue.

Both those of you who have followed us for some time and we ourselves now face the greatest test of our faith and our faithfulness. On page four you will see some of the helpful suggestions that some of you have offered. Obviously we cannot follow all of them. We do need the Lord's guidance.

Dear reader, how we thank you for your faithfulness in prayer for us across the months and years. We do depend on that prayer right now (see the back cover).
